There is no excuse to run away from party unity, postpone the standing committee and have a dialogue

July 17, Kathmandu. In a consultation meeting convened by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the leaders said there was a crisis of confidence between the two presidents. He said that there is no alternative to end the proxy war and communicate for this.

After the party leadership demanded his resignation, Prime Minister Oli called some leaders close to him, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal for a discussion.

During the meeting, Oli said that he was attacked from all sides and asked for help. Leaders, on the other hand, have stressed on the need to maintain party unity.

What happened at the Baluwatar consultation meeting? In the words of Standing Committee Member Yogesh Bhattarai:

Everyone knows that the CPN (Maoist) Standing Committee meeting is going on now. There are some agendas in this meeting and apart from this agenda in yesterday's meeting, some burning issues were discussed now. During that discussion, the two presidents, senior leaders, and other members of the Standing Committee exchanged accusations. It also made the party sensitive. Party members across the country were shocked. Looking at the scene of yesterday's meeting, it is easy to understand that the party is in a lot of crisis internally. The solution is not to be found by the party itself but by someone else.

Probably realizing this responsibility, the Prime Minister and party chairman KP Oli called on the members of the standing committee to consult on how to resolve the current crisis. He elaborated on the problems and contradictions within the party. He also kept an eye on the developments among the leaders.

In that process, the participating standing committee members said that the party is in crisis, but historically, it has defended the public opinion that we have got. Strengthens party unity. In such a situation, only the unity of the leaders can strengthen the party unity. So we have given him some suggestions.

First: The Blame Game, the Proxy War, must end.

Second, the crisis of confidence seems to have arisen at the party's top leadership. You can't find a solution to this except through mutual dialogue. Therefore, there should be a cordial relationship between the first two presidents. We have to develop cordiality among the members of the party secretariat, the standing committee and the entire central committee and the party ranks. For that, as party president and prime minister, you should take more initiative.

Third: Bring the issues raised in the ongoing standing committee meeting to the party secretariat and discuss them. Bring a common idea, a proposal that can be made.

Fourth: No one is allowed to run away from unity. It just happens by accident. Therefore, the party had to be united on a new foundation by solving the problems that have arisen now. Leaders had to discuss, trust had to be maintained. A coordinating relationship had to be established between the party and the government. The government had to support the party and the party had to give ownership to the government.

We have made it clear that the party highly respects what the previous generation has contributed to this party. You must also hand over this party safely to the next generation. KP Oli lived in Golghar for almost 6 years. You have conquered death. A bomb exploded in the house next to the house where comrade Prachanda was staying. He too has conquered death.

If the leaders who have conquered so many deaths say that we cannot solve today's petty problems and we are heading for division, then your qualifications are seriously questioned. You are questioned not only by the workers but also by the people and you are haunted by history even after your life. Therefore, such a move is not acceptable to the CPN (Maoist). You have to be careful, communicate and find solutions. If we need any help for this, we are ready at any time. The Prime Minister has spoken positively about that. I am hopeful that today's consultation will turn the situation in a positive direction.
